44th Annual Awards Dinner Raises $2Million

Mendham, NJ — November 2025 — Tri-County Scholarship Fund (TCSF) announces that its 44th Annual Awards Dinner raised $2 million, to provide K–12 scholarships for financially disadvantaged children in northern New Jersey. More than 700 supporters, corporate partners, and community leaders gathered to recognize three honorees, and to celebrate the organization’s mission of opening doors to quality, values-based education for children from hardworking families with limited financial means.

TCSF recognized John and Joanne Harrington, of the family-owned, multi-generational New Jersey company, Harrington Construction. The Harringtons received Tri-County Scholarship’s Making a Difference Award for their contributions to the community and their particular support of education. The Harringtons were introduced by Fr. Michael Tidd, O.S.B., Headmaster of Delbarton School in Morristown, who praised the couple for their “quiet leadership, generosity, and commitment to others.” Said Fr, Michael, “The Harringtons exemplify the true ‘spirit of trusteeship’—always doing what is necessary to help people and communities not only survive, but thrive and flourish.”

During their remarks, Joanne and John Harrington expressed gratitude to the many friends, family, and colleagues who came out in their honor. Said Joanne Harrington, “The accomplished Tri-County scholarship students you meet tonight are shining examples of the power of educational opportunity. They are truly amazing and inspiring individuals.” John Harrington recounted the personal story of one Tri-County student, and remarked, “By helping young people in New Jersey acquire a quality education we can all make a lasting impact on our community.”
