Long Valley Restaurants Open For Thanksgiving Day 2023

LONG VALLEY, NJ — For people who don’t want to spend hours or even days cooking and cleaning up from a big turkey dinner, several restaurants in Long Valley are open Thanksgiving Day.

Restaurants open for Thanksgiving on Thursday, Nov. 23, offer a range of dining experiences, from fine dining to fast casual to fast food. In some cases, you’ll need to make a reservation, so plan as much as possible.

As always, Patch encourages you to call any restaurant on this list in advance to double-check hours on Thanksgiving Day, as many vary by location. Here are the local restaurants that plan to be open:

• Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen (“Thanksgiving To-Go”) Located at 110 South St., Morristown. The restaurant’s website allows you to choose between menus for as little as four guests and up to 20. All orders must be in by 5 p.m. on Nov. 21.
• Long Valley Brew Pub (Thanksgiving Buffet), 1 Fairmount Road, Long Valley, call for available times 908-876-1122.
• Chesapeake Tavern (taking orders for their "Turkey Express" through Nov. 18), 1 West Mill Road, Long Valley, order at 908-867-7102, pick up Nov. 22 between noon. and 4 p.m.
• The Black Horse Tavern and Pub (taking orders through Nov. 21 at noon), 1 West Main Street, Mendham, order at 973-796-6774, pick up Thanksgiving Day.
• Harvest Bistro (Taking Orders for Thanksgiving Catering), 50 1/2 Main Street, Madison, Call for pickup hours and to place an order at 973-822-3644.
• Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Thanksgiving Day hours: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
