Long Valley Roadway To Be Partially Closed For Months: See Where
The road closure is due to the installation of a new gas main, officials said.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — A roadway in Long Valley will be partially closed for months due to construction, according to Morris County officials.
Beginning Monday, Schooleys Mountain Road (County Route 517) will be partially closed between Newburgh Road and Route 57 in Washington Township for gas main installation. One lane will be open to accommodate local traffic, county officials said.
According to county officials, the roadwork will be done Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., until mid-September. The gas main project is being managed by Elizabethtown Gas and performed by Skoda Contracting Company.

Southbound Detour on Mountain Avenue/Route 182/Schooleys Mountain Road

- Turn left onto Newburgh Road.
- Continue straight to the intersection of Schooleys Mountain Road (end of detour).
