Long Valley Rock Road Project Expected To Start Friday

After the project's initial phases, milling and paving are planned around Sept. 3, with weather-related schedule changes possible.

LONG VALLEY, NJ β€” The beginning phases of the Rock Road milling and paving project should start up on Friday morning, with road work taking place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

According to a news release from Washington Township, during the construction period, there will likely be travel delays because of traffic shifts to alternating lanes.

Drivers should plan accordingly if they need to ride through this area; and may like to drive a different route if possible.

When the milling and paving portion of the project is expected to start on Friday, Sept. 3, Rock Road will be shut down to any thru traffic for about a week.

The road construction project is weather-permitting, with dates that could potentially change.
