The canvas tote bag they're giving away was first created in June, with logos from some of Long Valley’s businesses, including: The Coffee Potter, Ort Farms, Long Valley Brew Pub, Pulled Fork BBQ, Chilton Mill Brewing, Chesapeake Tavern, Valley Restaurant and Pub, The Chocolate Shoppe and Hoffman's Supply.
The Coffee Potter, Ort Farms and The Chocolate Shoppe have been selling the bags during the month of September, with $2 of every bag sold to benefit Team Campbell Foundation, a Basking Ridge-based organization that gives a helping hand to families with children who are battling cancer. Past tote bag fundraisers have included donations to the Long Valley Fire Company and St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center.
National Coffee Day’s celebration is reportedly in honor of Americans’ connection to the beverage, which its said first started with the Boston Tea Party, according to NationalToday.com, when colonists tossed out tea, placing coffee at the forefront.
Allegra World Coffee Portal's 2019 Project Café USA report details that the coffee business as a whole collectively generates $45.4 billion for coffee shops throughout the United States.
