Long Valley Schools Close Due To Snow, Road Conditions
The National Weather Service projected between 1 and 3 inches of snow to fall in Long Valley through Tuesday at 4 p.m.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — All Washington Township Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday due to the inclement weather and hazardous road conditions, district officials announced on Tuesday morning.
The district had initially announced a delayed opening on Monday night. The decision was changed to a full closure on Tuesday morning.
"Due to dangerous road conditions which are not likely to improve quickly, Washington Township Schools will be closed today," officials said.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a winter weather advisory for all of New Jersey's 21 counties until Tuesday afternoon.
The NWS is predicting up to two inches of snow with a mix of sleet in the area, making it dangerous for drivers on the road.

Thursday: A slight chance of snow after 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 30. West wind 10 to 15 mph. The chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
Thursday Night: A chance of snow, mainly after 1 a.m. Cloudy, with a low around 23. The chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
