Long Valley Scout Troop 236 visits Gettysburg National Military Park

On October 25 & 26th members of Boy Scout troop 236, St Mark's Church in Long Valley, visited the Gettysburg National Military Park. Site of one of the Civil War's most costly battles and turning point of the war. Over the course of the two days, the scouts hiked over 17 miles across the battlefield visiting positions held by the Northern and Southern Armies and the numerous monuments memorializing participating army units and enormous sacrifices made during the battle.
