Long Valley Woman, Great-Grandmother Dies at 88

Tao Wong was a matriarch in the true sense of the word.

The Long Valley resident, formerly of Chester and New York City, died Monday at the age of 88.

Wong is predeceased by her late husband, Sang Wong. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, a son and his wife, six grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church in Long Valley on Nov. 7 at 11 a.m.

Arrangements are being coordinated by Cochran Funeral Home on High Street in Hackettstown.
