Longtime Long Valley Resident, Vietnam Veteran Dies at 71

LONG VALLEY, N.J. – J. Ronald Wells was a northern New Jersey resident his entire life.

The father of two and grandfather of three died recently at the age of 71.

Born in Rahway in 1944, Wells served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1972.

He lived in Long Valley for decades and raised two sons. He is survived by his wife, Laverne, two sons, and three grandchildren.
