Lost and Found: 'Blue' The Dog Caught, Returned to Long Valley Home

Flyers, phone calls and volunteers raise awareness, bring home foster dog.

It was a roller-coaster week for one Long Valley family whose foster dog got loose from his leash, setting off a town wide manhunt.

The search is over now, and Blue the dog is back at his foster home after residents worked hand-in-hand with professional trapper Buddha Dog Rescue.

Blue was going for a stroll along Columbia Trail late last week when he took off from his leash. He didn’t stray too far, as residents called in sightings of the pup every day.
