Man Arrested, Charged In Long Valley Home Burglary
Arthur Terr, accused of burglarizing a home in Washington Township, has been arrested by the Washington Township Police Department.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — A Hackettstown man has been charged in connection with a home burglary that took place last week, the Washington Township Police Department said.
Arthur Terr, 24, has since been charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief, police announced.
On Wednesday, Aug. 2, local police officers responded to a radio call for a residential burglary on Sierra Drive. When the officer arrived, they discovered that the sliding glass door into the house had been shattered.

According to Lt. Chris Bratus, $4,000 cash and some pieces of jewelry were stolen and have yet to be recovered.
After patrol officers cleared and secured the residence, detectives from the Washington Township Police Department were dispatched to the scene, police said.

During the course of the initial investigation, a suspect was developed, who eventually came to be recognized as Terr. Ultimately, detectives and police officers tracked down Terr's apartment in Hackettstown and arrested him.
Terr is now being held at the Morris County Jail pending his initial court appearance, according to Bratus, though the investigation is still ongoing.
