Man Overdosing In The Woods Saved By Washington Twp Police

Police say the man and his family were given information on the New Jersey Center for Addiction Recovery Education and Success.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — A man overdosing in the woods was saved by Washington Township police Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Police were called to a private home on a report of an overdose just after noon on Tuesday. Police said they found an unresponsive man laying in the woods at the back of the property.

The man was given two doses of Narcan to reserve an opiate overdose. He regained consciousness and was taken to the hospital for further care, police said.
