Watch Long Valley Students Grab First Place Marching Band Trophy

LONG VALLEY, NJ — West Morris Central High School’s marching band recently took home a first place trophy from The Spartan Showcase 2021 competition at Sparta High School.

There were 10 bands at the event, with their scores as follows, courtesy of Tournament of Bands/Tournament Indoor Association Region 10:

The participating marching bands competed with Region 10 schools, which according to the Tournament of Bands and Tournament Indoor Association, is comprised of sections of New Jersey and New York, including Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic, Sussex and Warren Counties in New Jersey; and Bronx, Kings, Nassau, Queens, Nassau and Westchester in New York.

Upcoming regional and state competitions are as follows:

Sunday October 24 - Region 10 Championships @ West Essex Regional HS

Saturday October 30 - New Jersey State Championships @ Cherokee HS, Marlton - 11 AM

Sunday November 7 - Open Class Groups
