LANDING, NJ - Vivian Molina's family of five has been displaced for at least three months after Tropical Storm Isaias tore through Morris County and sent a tree into their home on Aug. 4.

With heavy rains and punishing winds that sent branches flying and took down power lines, the storm damage was the worst the region has seen since Superstorm Sandy.

"During the storm Isaias, a tree fell on their home causing severe structural and water damage," Wendy Oakes wrote on a fundraiser page for the family.

Oakes said she is a neighbor of the Molina's and that they have added much to the community in their time there.

"I have lived in Roxbury my entire life and know what a great community this is," she said. "I am raising funds for our great neighbors, the Molina family."

Oakes said that since the storm, the Molinas have been relocated two times and are currently in Rockaway. Oakes said the family is hoping to get closer to Roxbury while they await the three to four months the repairs are going to take.

"The children Josseline, 14, Josue, 12, and Joel, 7, attend Roxbury schools and look forward to starting a new school year Oakes said but they are in need of clothing, toiletries, food and basic necessities. The family has saved what they could and secured it in a storage pod and the house is being " dried" out with machines, and they are consulting with construction companies, Oakes said.

"Their vehicle was also damaged by the fallen tree and will need to be replaced in the near future," Oakes said.

The GofundMe page had raised more than $3,000 towards the $5,000 goal. Those interested in donating can do so through the website.

"Please help this wonderful family get through this difficult time in their lives," Oakes said.
