New Mayor Appointed To Serve Long Valley Residents In 2025
After serving as mayor for the past six years, Matt Murello will step into the role of vice mayor in 2025.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — After six years of serving the Long Valley community as mayor, Matt Murello will step into a new role in 2025.
Michael Marino has been selected to lead the all-Republican Township Committee, with Matt Murello stepping into the role of vice mayor. Marino's appointment as mayor was unanimously approved by his fellow committee members, including Murello, after serving as vice mayor for the past two years.
In other news, the Township Committee welcomed its newest member, Walter Curioni, who was sworn into office during the reorganization meeting at Town Hall on Saturday, Jan. 4. He was joined by incumbent Bill Roehrich, who was also re-elected to the committee this November.

Curioni and Roehrich were sworn into office by state Assemblyman and former Chester Township Mayor Michael Inganamort, R-Morris, Sussex, during the ceremony.
Other officials in attendance included Morris County Sheriff James Gannon, County Surrogate Heather Darling, and the full Morris County Board of Commissioners, including Director Tayfun Selen, Deputy Director Stephen Shaw, and Long Valley’s John Krickus, among others.

The committee also announced and scheduled their meeting dates for 2025.
