New Staff Arrives At West Morris Central For Upcoming School Year

LONG VALLEY, NJ — With the start of the new school year well underway, new teachers are joining the classrooms at the two West Morris Regional High School District schools.

Classes for high school students commenced on Aug. 21. In preparation for the new school year, West Morris Central and West Morris Mendham held a new staff orientation, introducing the district's new educators.

The new hires include an athletic trainer, a Spanish teacher, a school counselor, a business teacher, an art teacher, an English teacher, a biology teacher, a STEM teacher and two special education teachers.

"We are very excited to welcome such passionate and talented educators to our learning community and to the Wolfpack Family," Central High School Principal Tim Rymer said.

Last week’s orientation for new staff included an overview of the district’s acclaimed International Baccalaureate Program, strategies for successfully engaging with students, training on district technology and sessions with teacher mentors.

“In a time when the field of education is experiencing a pronounced supply shortage, we count ourselves blessed to have attracted such high-caliber professionals to join our distinguished faculty,” Mendham High School Principal Steve Ryan said.

West Morris Regional serves students from Mendham Borough and Township, Chester Borough and Township and Washington Township. According to state data, the district served approximately 2,300 students during the previous academic year.
