New Yoga Program Coming to Long Valley

The program offers classes for both veteran yogis and newcomers.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — If the holiday season has you stressed out, Washington Township Recreation is offering a relaxing solution with its newest program.

This winter, the Washington Township Recreation Department will be hosting a series of yoga classes. There are several different options for both veteran and beginner yogis looking to participate.

“This winter, center your body and mind as you stretch beyond the expected and unlock new possibilities,” a statement read. “Discover the calm that fuels your strength, and let yoga guide you to a place where clarity meets movement. Because finding yourself isn’t a final stop—it’s the adventure of a lifetime.”

Classes begin at the Washington Township Community Center at 35 East Springtown Road. From Jan. 7 through March 18, 2026, Beginner Mat Yoga will be on Wednesdays from 9 to 10 a.m., with Gentle/Beginner Mat Yoga from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m.

On Thursdays, from Jan. 8 through March 19, 2026, Early Morning Yoga starts at 8 a.m., followed by Chair Yoga at 10 a.m.

Registration is available online here, and the deadline to register is Jan. 5. Those who register late will have to pay a $25 registration fee, and no more participants can be accepted once classes begin.
