Police Make Arrest In Long Valley Stabbing
Police forced their way into a home where the suspect was believed to be and arrested them.
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — Washington Township police arrested a man Wednesday on charges of aggravated assault following a stabbing on Drakestown Road, according to a social media post by the department.
Police responded soon before 5 p.m. to the area where they found a victim on the sidewalk with multiple stab wounds.
Officers looked for the offender and found a suspected person's door closed and locked, "resulting in a possible barricade situation," the post said.

They forced their way into the home and took a suspect into custody.
Long Valley First Aid Squad responded and the victim was flown to Morristown Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Police arrested the suspect on charges of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes.
