Registration Open For Washington Township Baseball Camps

Here's what you need to know about Washington Township Recreation's summer baseball camps.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Summer break is just around the corner, and organizations are starting to accept registration for summer camps. Washington Township has announced two baseball camps for parents who are stumped as to how to keep their children happy and occupied this summer.

Both camps are set to take place at Palmer Park. Players will be divided into groups based on grade and ability level, and skills will be taught based on the ability level of each group.

Complete Player Baseball Camp, taught by Jim McDermott, will be held from June 20 to June 23, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Registration for this camp includes a non-refundable fee due before June 15.

Wolfpack Baseball Camp is for ages 8-15 and is taught by Tom Reindel, the West Morris Central HS Head Baseball Coach, and is scheduled for July 18-July 21, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. All aspects of the game will be covered at Wolfpack camp, including hitting, fielding, throwing, base running and situational play.

Registration for this camp includes a non-refundable fee that is due before July 11.

"This is a great opportunity for ballplayers from ages 8-13 to advance their skills in different aspects of the game. The experienced staff will teach players through a hands-on approach," said Washington Township Recreation.
