Road Closed For Downed Wire In Long Valley

LONG VALLEY, NJ — A section of Pleasant Grove Road in Long Valley is closed on Tuesday morning, according to township police.

An alert from Washington Township police said that Pleasant Grove Road is currently closed between Schooley's Mountain Road and Wehrli Road due to a power line down in the roadway.

Jersey Central Power & Light has responded to the power outage, which is affecting between 100 and 500 customers, according to the utility company's outage map.

In the event outages occur due to severe weather, customers without power are encouraged to report their outage by calling 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877), clicking the “Report Outage” link on www.firstenergycorp.com, or by texting out to 544487.
