LONG VALLEY, NJ — Looking to take in some dazzling holiday light displays?

You don't have to venture far if you live in the Long Valley area, with many Washington Township homes illuminated with some amazing light shows for the holiday season.

Just grab some coffee or cocoa, hop into your car, crank up some festive tunes and go out for a drive.

As part of Washington Township’s second annual Holiday Home Decorating Contest, more than 20 homes, plus one neighborhood display, have been charted out by the township, for light-gawkers to go take a look.

Several of the homes were award winners and they are highlighted below:

The “Best Neighborhood Display” on East Gate Road:

The “Holiday Spirit” award winner on 8 Corrine Court:

“Most Beautiful” Award to 5 Corrine Court:

“Most Creative” Award Winner on 3 Briarwood Road:

The “Clark Griswald” Award on 3 Mountain View Avenue:

The “Most Traditional” on 32 Ridgeline Drive:

“Mayor’s Award” Winner on 10 Sand Hill Road:

Feel Like Driving Beyond Long Valley?

Within driving distance of Long Valley, don’t miss Chester’s light displays, from their Holiday Light Tour.

As part of a contest that Chester Recreation co-hosted with the Chester PTO, about 20 Chester Borough and Township homes are decorated and mapped online. For the map, click here.

Speaking of holiday lights, the West Morris Junior Women’s Club has placed plastic, reusable luminaries along Chester’s Main Street to raise awareness and funds for the Chester Mendham Food Pantry. They are still looking to raise $3,000 more. Find out all about their fundraiser here.
