See Updates On The Road Work Affecting Long Valley Residents
Several road repairs are in progress, with more to begin soon, according to township officials.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Washington Township Mayor Michael Marino recently addressed the several roadway repairs that have been taking place across the community.
The roadway repairs have resulted in closures nearly every day throughout the township. According to Marino, the active roadway projects will be repaved when completed.
“I would also like to thank all of the residents for their continued patience as we see continued road repair work this summer,” Marino said in a statement. “It has been a long road… We know it hasn’t been easy.”

The majority of the work is being done by the township’s utility companies, who are “upgrading the infrastructure.”
One of the active roadways being worked on in Long Valley is Schooley’s Mountain Road, which is expected to be partially closed until mid-September. According to Marino, the guardrails will be replaced along the road.

Additionally, the town intends to repair the collapsed culverts on Dorset and Devon roads. That work is expected to begin soon.
“It has been a long road for the residents of Dorset and Devon, and the township committee would like to thank the residents for their continued patience as well,” Marino said.
Keep an eye on the township’s Facebook page, which provides constant updates on roadway closures and reopenings.
