Snow, Winter Weather Could Hit Long Valley
Residents may see up to two inches of snow by Friday, the National Weather Service forecasted.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — Long Valley residents could see up to two inches of snow fall with a storm expected to wind down by Friday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
Ahead of the storm, the National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory to run from 7 p.m. on Thursday to 1 p.m. on Friday. That advisory called for up to three inches of snow in some sections of Warren and Morris Counties.
The storm is expected to begin as snow and sleet before 2 a.m. Friday, before becoming sleet after 2 a.m., the National Weather Service forecasted.

There could also be wind gusts up to 25 mph from the storm, the National Weather Service predicted.
Rain and freezing rain may continue until 2 p.m., with rain a possibility until 4 p.m. and a high of 41 degrees, the National Weather Service said.

Into Friday: Snow and sleet, becoming all sleet after 2am. Low around 27. East wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Friday: Rain or freezing rain before 2pm, then a slight chance of rain between 2pm and 4pm. High near 41. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New ice accumulation of around a 0.1 of an inch possible.
Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 17. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 33. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 19. West wind around 5 mph.
