Spring Soccer Registrations Now Open In Long Valley
Registration for the Spring 2025 season is now open, with teams available for four age groups, ranging all the way to eighth grade.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — Registration is now open for the Long Valley Spring Soccer Recreation program, which is available to children ranging from three years old through eighth grade.
The program is open to all children who live or attend school in Washington Township, with registration running until the end of March, officials said.
Organizers aim to kick off the program in mid-April, weather permitting, with clinics scheduled for Saturday mornings. Schedules will be provided by the first week of April, officials said.

Recreation soccer offers the opportunity for kids of all ages and skill levels to learn the game, have fun with friends, and build lasting bonds with their teammates.
The teams will be divided into the following age groups:

- Intro to Soccer (Birthdays between April 1 - Oct. 2021): $60
- The program features a 6-week season, with parent volunteer coaches guiding 35-minute practice sessions focused on basic skill development.
- PreK, Kindergarten & 1st Grade: $120
- The program features a 6-week season with PESA Soccer Trainers, including 30-minute practices and 20-minute games.
- 2nd - 5th Grade: $145
- The program consists of a 6-week season, featuring PESA Soccer Trainers for 30-minute practices and 20-minute games. Weekday pickup games will be held, and participants will receive an LVRSA reversible pinnie.
- 6th - 8th Grade: $155
- The program includes a 12-game season with referees, one practice per week, and uniforms consisting of a jersey, shorts, and socks.
Shin guards are required for all players, and while cleats are recommended, they are not required for younger players in the Intro to Soccer through 1st grade groups, officials said.
