Sub-Machine Gun, Crack, Heroin Found In Drunk Driver’s Car: State Police
Motorist's call for an erratic driver leads to major bust on Route 78.

Two New Jersey residents were caught with a sub-machine gun and other weapons along with hundreds of dollars worth of crack and heroin on Route 78 recently, New Jersey State Police said.
On Sunday, June 12 at 1:32 a.m., Trooper Uri Boyd was alerted by dispatch to an erratic driver traveling westbound on Route 78 in Hunterdon County, police said.
The caller told police the vehicle was a white Hyundai with Delaware license plates and was “being driven all over the road,” police said.

At 1:38 a.m., Boyd located the vehicle and observed numerous traffic violations, then made the stop at mile-marker 18.4 in Clinton Township.
Boyd found the driver, Jashion Murray, 33, of Orange, to show signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated.

An investigation uncovered a loaded 357 revolver, six .38 caliber rounds, a sub-machine gun with an extended magazine, 33 nine millimeter rounds, $510 worth of heroin, $420 worth of crack cocaine, $200 worth of prescription drugs, $70 worth of marijuana, and $1,973 in cash.
Murray and his passenger, Jennifer Foster, 31, of Newark, were charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, certain persons not to possess a weapon, possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of heroin, possession cocaine, possession of prescription legend drugs, possession of a large capacity magazine, possession of marijuana, under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bail for Murray was set at $250,000 and $125,000 for Foster. Both were lodged in Hunterdon County Jail.
