Traffic Alert: Road Construction Shuts Down Parts Of Schooleys Mountain Road In Washington Township
Milling and paving will affect Schooleys Mountain Road in Washington Township.

Until about 5 PM, road construction will begin on Schooleys Mountain Road in Washington Township, according to the Township. The construction, which includes milling and paving, is scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM and end at 5:00 PM every day this week, September 12 through September 16. The entire project though, will last for approximately four weeks.
According to Washington Township authorities, work will affect East and West Springtown Road to Newburgh Road. Schooleys Mountain Road will also have only one lane of alternating traffic, with the assistance of a police officer. At the end of the day, at around 5 PM, both lanes of the road will be opened.
Motorists should plan an alternate route as a large amount of congestion is expected in these areas.
