MOUNT OLIVE, NJ β€” A tractor trailer driving on the shoulder caused a five-car crash that injured seven other drivers on Route 206 in Mount Olive Monday afternoon, police said.

The crash happened on Route 206 at the Oakwood Drive North intersection around 4:30 p.m. Police say a tractor trailer drove up the right-hand shoulder, hitting two cars and the guard rail. The driver then drove across Route 206, hitting two more cars and a utility pole, where it came to a stop. The truck severely damaged the utility pole, police said.
