LONG VALLEY, NJ — Are you looking to roll up your sleeves and find a way to serve in the community?

There are currently a number of volunteer openings on Washington Township’s Boards and Committees.

  • Economic Development Committee - The committee works to attract and support local businesses.
  • Environmental Commission - This commission helps to make land use, natural resource and other environmental recommendations.
  • Historic Preservation Commission - The commission oversees construction within the historical district and its sites.
  • Open Space Committee - The committee explores ways to preserve open space in the township for a range of purposes.
  • Recreation Committee - The group oversees recreational programs and facilities within the township.
  • Shade Tree Committee - Volunteers work with the Planning Board, making recommendations about shade trees, helping to replace dead ones on township streets and more.
  • Ad Hoc Trails Committee - The committee makes decisions about trail accessibility and construction.
