The redevelopment plan will account for 125 residential units across three acres, 25 of which will be designated as affordable housing.

According to officials, voting against the redevelopment plan would force the township to look elsewhere to meet its affordable housing quota imposed by the state. Officials said that the only other option would be in the area of Long Valley Middle School on West Mill Road, where “the township could be forced to add over 100 units at that location.”
