Washington Twp. School Calendar For 2024-25: Key Dates To Know
With back to school season is coming up, here are some important dates within the district to keep in mind.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — Summer is almost over for Washington Township School District students. The first day of school in the district for high school students is Wednesday, Aug. 21, with elementary/middle schools starting on Thursday, Aug. 29.
Students in Pre-K-5 attend either Old Farmers Road Elementary, Flocktown-Kossmann Elementary, or Benedict A. Cucinella Elementary, depending on where in the district they live.
Students in grades 6-8 attend Long Valley Middle School, which serves the entire district.

Upon graduation from middle school, grades 9-12 attend West Morris Central High School; you can see the high school schedule here.
Freshmen and transfer students at the high schools must submit immunization records from their doctor before the first day of school.

High School Start date: Aug. 22
Elementary/Middle School Start date: Aug. 29
Family-teacher conferences (elementary/middle school) – early dismissal: Nov. 4-6
Election Day: Tuesday, Nov. 5
NJEA Convention (all schools closed): Nov. 7-8
Thanksgiving break: Nov. 28-29
Winter break: Dec. 23- Jan. 1
Martin Luther King Jr. Day, no school: Monday, Jan. 2
Presidents Day: Monday, no school: Feb. 17
Spring break: March 31- April 4
West Morris Regional High School District commencement: June 6
