WATCH: Long Valley Boy Snags Yankees' Home Run With Ease
Quintin Veletto will never forget Carlos Beltran's three-run shot from Sept. 24.

If there was “show and tell” on Friday at Benedict A. Cucinella School, Quintin Veletto would have won for best object and biggest smile.
The Long Valley 10-year-old and fifth grader probably hasn’t slept since coming home from Yankee Stadium in the Bronx Thursday night, and for good reason.
Seated between his older sister, Evangeline, younger brother, Donovan, and their dad, Keith, in the front row of outfield seats in left field, Veletto was in the right place at the right time and, like all young fans should, with a glove.

With two runners on in the third inning, Carlos Beltran took a 1-1 pitch from White Sox pitcher Chris Sale, and cranked a line drive over the wall.
But the ball landed in the darndest place – Quentin Veletto’s outstretched glove.

The three-run homer put the Yankees ahead for good in a game they had to win, and put a smile on Veletto’s face wider than the stadium itself.
“Going to a Yankee game is a big treat,” said Veletto’s mom, Corinne Fitzimmons. “All three kids brought their mitts to the game.
“Quintin brough the ball to school [Friday],” she continued, “and showed it to a few of his friends. His class watched the video of Carlos Beltran hitting the home run and Quintin catching the ball. Quintin said it was one of the greatest moments of his life. I’m pretty sure he will never forget it!”
