Water Shutdown Impacting Long Valley As Water Main Work Continues

Affected residents will be without water for the next five hours, officials said.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Residents in Long Valley will be without water for the next five hours, according to an alert from the Washington Township Municipal Utilities Authority.

As a result of ongoing work on the township's new water main piping, homes on Brooklawn Drive and Cedar Court will be without any water for approximately five hours today.

On Monday, homeowners on Sylvan Circle were without water for approximately 10 hours as the interconnections of the new water main piping were being installed.

When the water is switched back on, people may notice cloudy water, according to officials. If this occurs, run your cold water until the stream is clear.
