Wolfpack Football Starts Title Hunt Friday Night in Sectional Playoffs

Central earns No. 3 seed in new group, will host Indian Hills.

New section? No problem.

Heading into the 2015 season the West Morris Central Wolfpack was restructured into the North 1, Group 4 slot of teams, which meant a playoff berth would bring about new challenges.

But anyone who knows the tradition of the Wolfpack also knows adversity has never been an issue.

So on Friday, Nov. 13, Central will host its first Group 1, Section 4 playoff game against No. 6 Indian Hills. With a 7-2 record, the Wolfpack earned the No. 3 seed.

Indian Hills also has a 7-2 record. The two teams have not played a similar opponent this season.

Ahead of Central in the bracket is Roxbury with the No. 2 seed, a team the Wolfpack lost to this season, and No. 1 Old Tappan which boasts an undefeated 9-0 record.

A first-round win for Central would put them in the Nov. 20 semifinals against the winner of Roxbury vs. Wayne Hills.

Game time Friday night is 7 p.m. at West Morris Central High School.
