MADISON, NJ — Check those tickets, Mega Millions players. A third-tier prize-winning ticket worth $10,000 was sold at a convenience store in Morris County.

The ticket was one of the four third-tier prizewinning tickets sold for the July 28 drawing that matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball.

The lucky ticket was bought at Garden State News, located at 43 Main St. in Madison.

The winning numbers for the Friday, July 28, drawing were: 05, 10, 28, 52 and 63. The Gold Mega Ball was 18 and the Megaplier Multiplier was 05.

Aside from the third-tier prizes, 91 players correctly matched four of the five white balls drawn, making each ticket worth $500. Seven of those tickets included the Megaplier option, which increased the prize to $2,500. Additionally, 158,600 other New Jersey players won $836,868 in cash prizes ranging from $2 to $1,000.

Tickets were purchased at the following locations:

  • Ocean County: Country Farms #2, 380 Drum Point Rd., Brick;
  • Passaic County: Jackpocket, 355 Warwick Tpke., Hewitt; and,
  • Union County: Quick Chek #23, 186 Westfield Ave., Clark.

The jackpot has risen to an incredible $1.05 billion for the next drawing, which will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 1, at 11 p.m. To be eligible for the drawing, all New Jersey Lottery Mega Millions tickets must be purchased before 10:45 p.m.
