Madison Golfer Wins Scholar Athlete Award

graduate Andrew Wells, who and is destined for the University of Virginia in the fall, was presented with a scholar athlete award by the New Jersey section of the PGA.

Wells was presented with the 2012 W. Frank Hopping Scholar Athlete Award on June 26 in Monroe Township by Chris Hunt, assistant executive director of the Professional Golfers Association of America, New Jersey Section.

Wells is considering studying physics and foreign diplomacy at the University of Virginia. He also is considering trying to walk onto the school's golf team.
