Apparent Arson Attack Targets Bayer Executive's Home In Madison
The home of a Bayer Pharmaceutical executive in Madison may have been the target of a suspected arsonist, according to sources.
MADISON, NJ — The home of a Bayer Pharmaceutical executive in Madison may have been the target of a suspected arsonist, according to media reports.
On March 4 at around 7:30 a.m., a fire was reported at an occupied home on East Lane in Madison.
The Madison Fire Department quickly extinguished the fire. The home sustained no significant damage, and no injuries were reported, according to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office(MCPO).

While the MCPO would not identify the victim, a Bayer spokesperson confirmed to NJ.com that "an incident occurred at the private home of one of Bayer’s U.S. executives."
An active arson investigation is currently underway with the Madison Police Department, the Morris County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit, the New Jersey State Fire Marshals, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office Environmental Crimes Unit, NYPD, and FBI working together.
