Canvassers Cross Into Chatham Without Permits
With help from Madison police, summonses were issued after Chatham police received complaints.

On Saturday, May 26 at 4:40 p.m., Patrolman Andrew Chase investigated a canvassing complaint on Division Avenue, according to police.
With the assistance of , two male suspects were located along Kings Road, police said.

The men were soliciting magazine subscriptions in Madison and crossed over into Chatham Borough without obtaining the necessary permits, according to police.
Police issued summonses for soliciting without a permit to JT Turner, 30, of Michigan City, Ind. and Cornelius Williams, 25, of Peoria, Ill., police said.

Both were released pending further court action, according to police.
