Forum Offers Chance to Question Council Candidates
League of Women Voters to host event Tuesday.

The four Madison Borough Council candidates are scheduled to participate in a forum Tuesday evening at the Madison Community House, the League of Women Voters of Morristown Area announced.
The format for the event will include opening and closing statements by the candidates and written and oral questions submitted by the audience members, according to a League news release.
Louise Murray of Morristown, a League of Women Voters trained moderator, will preside over the event. The forum will be videotaped for broadcast on Rosenet TV, an Internet TV channel for the Borough of Madison.

The event is scheduled for 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Madison Community House, 25 Cook Ave., Madison.
Two seats on the Madison Borough Council are up for election. Four candidates are vying for two, three-year terms. The candidates are Democrats Astri J. Baillie of 54 East Lane and Benjamin Wilkowitz of 32 Dellwood Drive, and Republicans John F. Hoover of 17 Overhill Drive and Carmen Pico of 81 North Street.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend. Vote by Mail applications and voter information will also be available. The League of Women Voters Morristown Area is a non-partisan, non-profit organizations whose primary purpose is to promote political responsibility through informed and active participation in government.
