'Chandler Cup' to Benefit High School Coach
Soccer tournament scheduled for Wednesday for retiring teacher who is battling pancreatic cancer.

The inaugural Chandler Cup, a fundraising soccer tournament for retiring coach and physical education teacher Robert Chandler, who has been battling pancreatic cancer for several years, is set for 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the high school turf field, according to an announcement for the event.
Teams of six will compete for the cup at the event, which also will be "an opportunity for students and alumni of MHS to wish Coach Chandler all the best in his retirement," the announcement said.
All proceeds raised will benefit Chandler and those fighting cancer, organizers said.

Teams may fill out a form, attached to this post, with a payment of $30 per team and submit it to Coach Lynott or Mrs. Willis in the Athletic Office, the announcement said. Any checks should be made payable to “Coach Bob Chandler Fund.”
