Child Porn Possession, Distribution Conviction For Madison Man

A 54-year-old Madison resident was found guilty of uploading, possessing and distributing images of child pornography, according to police.

MADISON, NJ — A Madison man was found guilty of uploading, possessing and distributing images of child pornography using his cellphone, according to Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll.

Nicholas Spagnoletti,54, of Madison, plead guilty on March 15 and was charged with one count of endangering the welfare of children for the distribution of child pornography and one count of endangering the welfare of children for the possession of child pornography.

Spagnoletti has been sentenced to three years in state prison.

According to police, the defendant used his personal cellphone between April 15, 2021, and Aug. 12, 2021, to upload, possess and distribute images of child pornography.

The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office was first alerted to the upload by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Carroll said.

Upon his release, Spagnoletti will also be subject to Megan's Law registration, and will have parole supervision for life.
