Child Struck by Car on Park Avenue

and the responded to the scene of an accident on Park Avenue near Anthony Street Thursday.

According to police, a child was struck by a car on Park Avenue at about 6:30 p.m.

Police blocked traffic to allow the ambulance to leave the scene with the child in the back. The ambulance drove west from Park Avenue, in the direction of Morristown Medical Center.

The child could be heard crying in pain from the ambulance.

Details of how the accident occurred or the injuries suffered by the child or driver were not immediately available.
