Cops: Unbuckled Driver Gave Fake Name, Was Wanted

The following arrest information was supplied by the Madison Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

A 35-year-old West Milford man who had warrants for his arrest allegedly gave police a fake name after he was pulled over Sunday night for not wearing a seatbelt and driving with a suspended driver's license, authorities said.

Dean Rado was arrested at 9:15 p.m. by Sgt. John Miscia and charged with hindering apprehension, according to a news release. Miscia initially stopped Rado on Main Street near Union Avenue and determined Rado was giving a false name to avoid apprehension, police said.

During processing, police determined there was an active $1,000 Dumont arrest warrant for failure to appear, and a second warrant issued by Passaic County Court for a probation violation, according to police.
