Disturbance Report Leads to Simple Assault Charge

A 60-year-old Madison man was charged with simple assault on Friday for allegedly assaulting a female friend while visiting her apartment in the borough, police said.
Jake Locket was arrested at 1:26 a.m. by Patrolman Paul Papamarkos, who responded to 34 Alexander Ave. on a disturbance complaint, according to a news release. Locket was processed at police headquarters and released pending a court appearance, police said. Sgt. Joe Cirella assisted with the arrest.

A 27-year-old Orange man was arrested last Tuesday on a $650 Wayne traffic warrant after he was pulled over on Madison Avenue for having an overdue inspection sticker, police said.
Angelo Felix was arrested at 9:42 a.m. by Patrolman Chad Rybka after a computer check revealed the warrant during the traffic stop, police said.

Felix was processed at police headquarters and released pending a court appearance, according to police. He also was issued a motor vehicle summons for overdue inspection, police said.
Underage alcohol possession alleged
A 20-year-old West Haven, Conn., man was arrested Thursday for alleged underage possession of alcohol after he was pulled over for an equipment violation, police said.
Yahya Almansour was arrested by Sgt. Joe Cirella at 2:22 a.m. and, during processing, Cirella determined there was a $250 Atlantic City traffic warrant for failure to appear, police said. Almansour also was issued a motor vehicle summons for an expired registration, according to police. He was released pending a court appearance, police said.
