Dodger: 8th-Graders in Homework Hiatus Trial
Superintendent and principal temporarily eliminated homework for some classes, school newspaper reports.

As part of an experiment that recently ended, half the eighth-grade class wasn't given math or science homework, while the other half wasn't assigned history or language homework, the newspaper reports Tuesday.
The homework break was part of an experiment by Superintendent Dr. Michael Rossi and Principal Nicole Sherrin to test the effectiveness of homework, and the administrators are crunching the results from tests given during that time, the report says.
