Everything to Know About Bottle Hill Day Weekend

Live music, the mayor races the mascots, food, and family fun for all are in store for Bottle Hill Day festival-goers on Saturday.

Get ready, Madisonians! Bottle Hill Day returns to downtown this Saturday. The historic festival features live music, a classic car show, tasty treats from Madison’s favorite restaurants, and fun activities for the whole family. Thousands visit downtown Madison on Bottle Hill Day. If you’re lucky, you’ll even get to see the Mayor race town mascots in an epic Mad Dash Foot Race.

Expect Traffic Delays Downtown
The Madison Police Department reminded residents today to expect extra delays downtown due to Bottle Hill Day. The free event is held rain or shine by community organizations who band together to raise money for the town.

Live Music and Historical Reenactments
Bottle Hill Day will feature four stages for live music including one that is dedicated to showcasing youth musicians from Madison public schools. The excitement continues with a black powder demonstration from the Frontier Guard at the Museum of Early Trades & Crafts.

Hoist a Glass, Cheer the Winning Team
The beer garden at Lincoln Place will also be open on Bottle Day near the Waverly stage. The foot race between the Mayor and the Mascots will be held at high noon on Main Street.

Family Friendly Fun
Central Avenue School will be hosting family activities and rides. Adventurous families may want to check out the free rock climbing roll on Green Village Road as well.

Car Shows
The highly anticipated Chamber Car Show will be held at the Madison Ambulance Squad. Madison Jaguar will be showcasing their luxury vehicles at the corner of Central and Main. A classic Madison utility vehicle dating back to 1921 will be on display in front of Hartley Dodge.

Give Blood on Bottle Hill Day
Festival-goers are also encouraged to celebrate Bottle Day by giving back to those in need. The Red Cross will be holding a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Madison Presbyterian Church.
