Former Madison Student Accuses Ex-Dean Of Sexual Abuse: Report
The suit states that he was "coerced and encouraged" by former dean of students Raymond Cullen to engage in sexual acts back in the 1980s.
MADISON, NJ — In a civil lawsuit against the Madison School district, a former student alleged he was sexually abused by a dean back in the 1980s, according to Northjersey.com.
The suit refers to the student as V.C. and states that he was "coerced and encouraged" by former dean of students Raymond Cullen to engage in sexual acts with him during the 1980-1981 school year, while he was a student at Madison High School, the online paper reported.
The suit does not describe details of the incident but claims that the student suffered "permanent personal and emotional injuries," and accused the Madison Board of Education of negligence.

"The Madison Board of Education is presently involved in litigation alleging improper conduct by a former employee 40 years ago. The Board is currently investigating these allegations in response to this lawsuit. Since the Board is now actively engaged in this litigation, the Board is constrained from any further comment on this matter," the district said in a statement sent via email.
