Madison-Based Companies Make Fortune 500 List

Realogy and Quest Diagnostics have once again been named to the 2015 Fortune 500 List.

A pair of Madison-based companies have been named to the 2015 Fortune 500 once again.

Health care company Quest Diagnostics was listed at No. 375 in the prestigious Fortune 500 list, compiled annually by Fortune magazine. According to Fortune magazine, the diagnostics testing company’s services range from routine blood work to gene-based testing.

Quest Diagnostics dropped 11 spots in the Fortune 500 rankings from No. 364 in 2014. This is the health care company’s 15 year on the list, according to Fortune magazine.

Additionally, Realogy Holdings, a real estate company specializing in real estate franchising and provider of real estate brokerage, relocation and settlement services, was ranked No. 488. This is the company’s fifth appearance on the Fortune 500 list.

“We are pleased to once again earn the distinction of being in the Fortune 500,” Richard A. Smith, chairman, chief executive officer and president of Realogy, said in a press release from company. “This speaks positively about our performance as an organization, and we are proud to be the only residential real estate franchise or brokerage company on the list.”

Realogy dropped 12 spots compared to its 2014 ranking of No. 476. The company earned its 2015 ranking based on its $5.3 billion revenue in 2014, according to the release.

The 2015 Fortune 500 list is the 61st year in which the list has been published. According Fortune magazine, the Fortune 500 companies account for $12.5 trillion in revenues, $945 billion in profits, $17 trillion in market value and employ 26.8 million people worldwide.
