Madison Defense Dominates Again: Dodgers Shut Out Denville 34–0 for Fifth Straight Win
Madison improves to 5–0 with another dominant performance, outscoring opponents 160–0 through five games

Madison, NJ — The Madison Dodgers Super Pee Wee football team delivered another statement win on Saturday, October 4, overpowering the Denville Blue Angels 34–0 at home. The victory pushed Madison to 5–0, extended their shutout streak to five straight games, and brought their season scoring total to an astonishing 160–0.
With defensive coordinator CJ Carfano stepping in to lead the unit, Madison’s defense was locked in from the opening whistle. Known for his quiet leadership and sharp fundamentals, Carfano had the Dodgers firing on all cylinders.
“I couldn’t be more proud of this group,” said Carfano. “Every player knows their role, trusts their teammates, and plays with relentless effort. It’s special to watch them fly around and dominate like this.”

The defense set the tone early. John Healy delivered a thunderous hit, Cash Hanna crashed the edge, and Jacob Chase blasted through for a huge sack on third down, forcing a five-yard punt.
Madison’s offense immediately struck. Michael Del Vecchio bulldozed downfield, dragging defenders to the 26. On the next play, Will Jacobson powered inside the five, and Del Vecchio punched it in from five yards out for the opening score.

The defense quickly forced another punt, and Jacobson’s bruising return gave Madison a short field. Quarterback Nolan May hit Hanna on a quick strike after a key block by Del Vecchio, and Hanna broke multiple tackles down to the three. Jacobson finished the job with a hard run into the end zone. Healy’s kick made it 13–0.
The defensive front—anchored by Chase, Healy, Hanna, and Joey Kane, smothered Denville’s ground game. Madison’s offense kept rolling behind dominant line play from Kane, Teddy Lynn, Jacob Meshki, Zach Reed, Connor Buckley, Cooper Chaput, and Chase. Del Vecchio and Jacobson kept pounding the ball, and Jacobson powered through defenders again for his second touchdown. Kane added the extra point for a 21–0 lead.
May intercepted a pass late in the half and followed it with a bruising 10-yard end-around, only stopped by a facemask. Even after a fumble, the defense held firm with Luca Scaravaglioneclogging the middle, Chaput applying pressure, Hanna patrolling the edge, and Declan Cooneydelivering a backfield tackle for a loss to stall Denville’s drive.
Madison opened the second half with a Del Vecchio return and a burst up the middle by Michael Curry. Moments later, Del Vecchio exploded for a 48-yard touchdown run, with Kane adding the extra point to stretch the lead to 28–0.
The defense kept the clamps on. May delivered a big stick up the middle, with Harrison Keancleaning up. On offense, Meshki ran tough on consecutive plays, followed by a Kean carry. Reed then took over, barreling through the defense on back-to-back runs to punch in Madison’s fifth touchdown.
Hanna added a late interception, and Chase who was defensively dominant all afternoon, powered the offense on four straight carries to drive Madison down to the 2-yard line as time expired.
The Dodgers’ offense featured contributions from every back, Del Vecchio, Jacobson, Curry, Meshki, Reed, and Kean, while tight ends Hanna and Cooney made key blocks and plays. May led the offense with confidence while making big plays on defense.
Madison improves to 5–0 and will hit the road to face the Newton Braves on Saturday, October 11, as their unbeaten, shutout streak, and high powered scoring run continues.
