Madison Honored As 'Sustainability Champion' In Statewide Ceremony

Madison is being honored for the third time with the Sustainability Championship Award along with the Silver Certification.

MADISON, NJ — Madison has been recognized for its commitment to sustainability for the third year by Sustainable Jersey, a non-profit, non-partisan organization that provides tools, training, and financial incentives to communities as they pursue sustainability programs.

The award, which was presented on Nov. 15 at the New Jersey League of Municipalities Convention in Atlantic City, honors local communities for their efforts to promote sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyles.

"Madison is once again proud to have been honored by Sustainable Jersey for our commitment to ensuring a greener Madison. Earning silver certification, as well as the championship award, now for our third time, is no easy task, but the dedication, determination and hard work of our Sustainable Madison Advisory Committee," Madison Borough Communication Coordinator Michael Pellessier said.
