Madison PBA Donates 600 Food Items to the Interfaith Food Pantry
Madison Police worked together with Whole Foods and local residents to collect donations. The PBA is accepting donations through Nov. 2.

On Friday morning, the Madison Police Benevolent Association donated nearly 600 food items to the Interfaith Food Pantry in Morristown.
PBA Local 92, along with Whole Foods Market and local residents throughout the Madison community, collected donations throughout the month of October in anticipation of Thanksgiving.
Madison Chief of Police Darren Dachisen and Sergeant Longo were on hand to deliver the food donations to C.E.O. and President of Realogy, Richard Smith.

Smith accepted the generous food donations for the Interfaith Food Pantry on behalf of the PBA Local 92. In a Facebook post this morning, Madison PBA expressed their gratitude for Realogy’s “continued commitment to the community.”
The Whole Foods Market on Main Street in Madison played a crucial role in this month’s food drive. On Thursday, the Madison PBA Local 92 chapter went shopping at the market to gather items for the Interfaith Food Pant.

“The PBA, Whole Foods Market and several residents all chipped in to purchase hundreds of food items,” the PBA explained.
Some of the items donated by the PBA included instant potatoes, stuffing, roll mix, turkey gravy, canned fruits and vegetables, brownie mix or cake mix and icing, Parmalat or powdered milk, coffee and tea, jello or pudding, salad dressings, condiments such as pickles and olives. Everyday items such as regular, hearty and low-salt soups, pasta and cereal, were also among the donations.
It’s not too late to drop off your donations! The Madison PBA will be accepting donations for the Thanksgiving Food Drive until Nov. 2. The PBA noted that local residents can drop off donations in the front lobby of the Madison Police Department.
